Umbilical Cord Blood Collection for Cardiac Use

Our easy guide to umbilical cord blood collection walks you through the process of collecting cord blood. If your baby has been diagnosed with hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS) before birth, you may be eligible to enroll in our clinical trial using your baby’s own stem cells to help strengthen the heart muscle during surgery. If you have any questions, please contact our program at HLHS@mayo.edu.
